Kemer is a famous seaside travel resort. Kemer is a district of Antalya and locates in 40 km south of Antalya. Located between beautiful forest view and its 3 km long beach, Kemer is a good option for European tourists not only for a summer vacation but also a winter travel. Kemer is very popular among Russian tourists as well as Germans.
Kemer locates between mountains and pine forests, in the north of Çamyuva and in the south of Göynük. The beach is nearly 3 km long which is mostly full of tourists during the summer season. All the seaside is full of large resort hotels. At the south of Kemer, there is a yacht marina where the beach and all touristic activities end. Yacht Marina (Türkiz Marina) accepts online reservation and offers sport activities like golf, tennis or rafting.
The park between seaside and hotels is a very well maintained garden with many flowers and beautiful wood bridges. The beach is one step below the garden, which makes the beach a hidden place in Kemer. There are many access gates between the parks and the beaches. In each gate you can find a bar, which you can enjoy music, drinks or use public toilets.
In the following picture, you can see the walk path between hotels behind the beach. There are also markets and few restaurants available across this walking path as well as benches to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the city.
At the beginning of the park, there’s a small zoo and the following image is of the ducks living around the zoo, mostly free in the daytime.
In the other side of the beautiful park, there are beautiful piers and volleyball courts over grasses.
If you follow the walkpath, you can see the marina. In the following picture you see the marina and the forest behind during the sunset. The beach sunbeds are empty. The tourists leave the sunbeds before the sun goes down, to prepare the evening.
Kemer has a dream-like atmosphere no matter in which part of the city you enjoy your day. Since there are high and exotic mountains around the city which are full of pine forests; there are many hotels and motels across the town which also have a good view of nature. The prices may differ from 50-200 euros per day but you can find hotels with lower or higher prices also. The tourists are mostly Russian, where there’s also some local tourist interest.
In the middle of the town, there’s a market place where you can find shops, restaurants, bars and currency exchange offices.
In the night you can also find night clubs all around Kemer.
In the other side of the forest, there’s Çamyuva. Çamyuva has a long beach and large resort hotels. You can get to Çamyuva by the mini-buses within 5 minutes.
You can get to Kemer by shuttles from Antalya (40 minutes, 20 liras). In the south of Kemer, you can get to Fenike or Kaş which are several hours away from each other.
In the winter season The avarage 14C° (January), 15C° (February), 19C° (March) in day time, which is far more warmer than most of Europe. This makes Kemer not only a good option for summer vacation, but a good choice for Winter runaway. Some of the hotels don’t close in the winter time and very cheap compared to other winter travel destinations.
